Leo sighed, staring out the bus window. He realized then that some things were worth the $1.29 on iTunes. He spent the rest of the ride listening to the "PREVIEW ONLY" techno remix, a digital scar of the era before streaming made everything too easy.
He tried a different site. This one redirected him through six "You Won!" pop-up windows before finally yielding a file. He transferred it to his iPod, feeling a sense of victory.
The results populated in a jittery list. Most were obvious traps—files labeled with ".exe" extensions or sizes that were way too small to be a song. He clicked a link that looked promising: Grenade_Bruno_Mars_FREE_HQ.mp3. The download bar crawled across the screen, a tiny blue tortoise racing against his 11:00 PM curfew. When it finally finished, Leo double-clicked the file.
The next morning on the bus, Leo plugged in his headphones and hit play. The song started perfectly. Bruno’s voice was clear, singing about catching grenades and jumping in front of trains. Leo leaned back, closing his eyes, feeling like the coolest kid in the tenth grade.

The meeting will be held at Holy Family Church, Saffin Center Hall in the Riede Room, 3926 Poplar Level Rd. There will be reports on our progress over the past year, along with refreshments and door prizes.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. City Barbecue is catering the event. Cost is $14 per person.
