Today, the ability to download anything instantly for free has removed that upward pressure. We are submerged in an ocean of data where nothing floats to the top because everything is accessible. While this democratizes information, it also creates a paradox of value. When a resource is "buoyancy-free," it requires no effort to obtain, and as a result, we often treat it with less care.
